5k CIRCUIT FOR 10k EVENT & HALF MARATHON
The routes for the 10k Event and the Half Marathon are the same except that the Half Marathon includes 1 lap of the track at th start.
The courses consist of a basic 5k circuit described below.
10k Event – 2 laps of the 5k circuit.
Half Marathon – 4 laps of the 5k circuit plus 1 lap around the track at the start for the first runner/walker only.
BASIC 5k CIRCUIT
Start in front of the clubrooms.
Head towards the cricket club car park.
Turn left into Bell Road and go up to Pakuranga Road.
Turn left into Pakuranga Road and go along to Cascades Road.
Turn left into Cascades Road and go down to Lady Marie Drive.
Turn left into Lady Marie Drive and go along to Bell Road.
Turn left into Bell Road and go all the way up to Pakuranga Road.
Turn left into Pakuranga Road and go along to Cascades Road.
Turn left into Cascades Road and go down to Lady Marie Drive.
Turn left into Lady Marie Drive and go along to Bell Road.
Go up Bell Road and turn left into cricket club car park.
Go through car park and along to finish or change over walker/runner in front of the clubrooms

HALF MARATHON
Start time is 8.30am The Start, Relay Changeover and Finish Point are all on the line in front of the clubrooms.
Has to be either a two or four person team. (No single participants as in previous years.)
A two person team will start together and do the 5k circuit twice. One member must do the track lap first before going out to Bell Rd.
A four person team will do the 5k circuit once each. Two members will start together, one of them doing the track lap first before going out to Bell Rd. The other two members will start individually when their nominated partner finishes their 5k circuit.
Trophy: Awarded for the closest estimated team time and runner up. Forms for entering your estimated time are available from the kitchen counter.
Rules: No watches – No radios – No phones – No times called.
Lunch: Pot luck lunch afterwards. Bring a plate
TRACK COURSE FOR THE FIRST RUNNER/WALKER
Start on the line in front of the clubrooms.
Head towards the cricket club car-park, turn right at the car-park and go through the gate and down the concrete path onto the track.
Turn right at the track and run/walk onto the outside lane. Stay on the outside lane and do a complete circuit and a half, anti-clockwise, of the track.
Continue on the track until you reach the other concrete path leading up to the athletic club car park. Go up the path, through the gate, turn right back towards the clubhouse until you reach the start/finish line.
Now continue on to do the first lap of the 5k circuit.
10k EVENT
Start time for both Relay and Individuals is 9.00am The Start, Relay Changeover and Finish Point are all on the line in front of the clubrooms.
Start time 9.00 am
Can be either an individual participant or a two person team.
An individual participant will do the 5k circuit twice.
A two person team will start together and do the 5k circuit once, each at their own pace.
Trophy: Awarded for the closest estimated time and runner up. (Individual or team) Forms for entering your estimated time are available from the kitchen counter.
Rules: No watches – No radios – No phones – No times called
