The Junior Track and Field section caters for children of all abilities aged 2 to 14 years. Tiny Tots (for 2-4 year olds) focuses on developing basic movement skills (walking, running, jumping, throwing, catching etc.) while Big Kids (5-6 years) learn correct fundamental athletic skills - running, jumping and throwing. Juniors (7-14 years) have the opportunity to learn, and compete in, a range of track and field events. ‘Club nights’ are held each Wednesday between October and March, and there are many opportunities to compete in events outside the club. In all sections, the emphasis is on participation, personal development and having fun.
